The classic vertebrate networks are the backbone of the VertNet project. Since 1999 these four networks (FishNet, MaNIS, HerpNET, ORNIS) have provided the biodiversity community with access to vertebrate data sets.

The MaNIS/HerpNET/ORNIS portals will continue to serve your data until May 2014, at which time they will no longer be maintained. FishNet will continue to provide service to the community into the foreseable future. The project pages for each taxon-based community will also continue to be maintained.
